Well, well, well. Those chapter leaks that Matt Baier said were fake? Turns out they’re not only very real, as we reported when they were deleted by Twitter, but they were not taken nicely by MTV!
“Sources” told Page Six News that MTV’s parent company, Viacom, was indeed behind the Tweet deletions. They also tore Matt a new one for his negative talk about the company and co-star Farrah Abraham. In fact, Viacom’s attorneys have demanded 15,000 words be deleted from the manuscript, which Page Six notes is about 20% of the total book length. The sources said “network execs got in a tizzy and read [Baier] the riot act.”

Looks like Matt is learning an important lesson on biting the hand that feeds!
Don’t forget that MTV is airing the “Being Matt” special tomorrow night. Please don’t watch it. We will be recapping it. 😉
