MTV attorneys demand editing of Matt Baier’s book

Well, well, well. Those chapter leaks that Matt Baier said were fake? Turns out they’re not only very real, as we reported when they were deleted by Twitter, but they were not taken nicely by MTV!

“Sources” told Page Six News that MTV’s parent company, Viacom, was indeed behind the Tweet deletions. They also tore Matt a new one for his negative talk about the company and co-star Farrah Abraham. In fact, Viacom’s attorneys have demanded 15,000 words be deleted from the manuscript, which Page Six notes is about 20% of the total book length. The sources said “network execs got in a tizzy and read [Baier] the riot act.”

You can read my summaries of Matt Baier’s book leaks from the Twitter parody account @AmberLPorkwood in three parts:

Part 2

Part 3

Looks like Matt is learning an important lesson on biting the hand that feeds!

Don’t forget that MTV is airing the “Being Matt” special tomorrow night. Please don’t watch it. We will be recapping it. 😉

    What a dumb fuck.

  3. chelseas annoying baby voice says:

If MTV is pissed about Matt talking smack it is about TIME they told Jenelle to shut the hell up with the way she is running her mouth about them negatively.

    Ha ha ha…karma.

Actually guess this shows that MTV/Via com does have a line these Z list celebs can’t cross…though I feel like the mom’s have a different line than the dad’s. I’ve long felt MTV would cut the dad’s out of the show over this kind of crap but the mom’s would just get put in time out and then all is forgiven.

I think this has to do with libel/slander. Farrah didn’t sign off on the book.

  6. Hairstyles of the Rich & Alnost Fanous says:

I just saw the sneak peek of his being special. What a piece of shit he is. I hope his book tanks and no one watches his special. Hell, I will even go as far as saying I hope they cancel og. And when the money dries up, he’ll move on. Only this time it will be harder for him to find a victim that doesn’t know what a con artist he is. I mean, he’ll probably still find one, but a girl can dream.

      “That’s true”

I’ve read about boycotts against the special & how ppl are making sure their DVRs don’t record it.

Wait till you see the next preview where he picks up the kids from the airport. Not sure why Amber tolerates that type of behavior.

      • Hairstyles of the Rich & Alnost Fanous says:

I saw that one today- “I bought it as a gift for you, but it’s our cah.” How did you buy it Matt? Nice of you to mention that in front of your kids whose child support you ducked out on for years a few minutes into the ride home from the airport.
He can’t even pretend to care about his son on film one whole minute after he recited the script he gave him about being a great dad.

        • Williejonesjr says:

One theory I’ve been reading is that MTV filmed & aired this to show exactly who Matt is. I wonder if he’ll claim a “bad edit”.

I also wonder how much those kids got paid.
