Teen Mom OG | Ryan Edwards out of rehab and back into controversy

As we reported here a few weeks ago, Teen Mom OG‘s baby daddy Ryan Edwards (ex-fiance of Maci Bookout McKinney) entered a drug rehab facility just days after marrying his wife Mackenzie Standifer. There was quite a bit of controversy around this news because Ryan and his family had denied there being a drug problem and because his then-fiancee was arguing on Twitter with Teen Mom OG watchers.

Shortly after the news of Ryan’s addiction broke, Ryan’s ex-girlfriend Dalis Connell entered the fray, saying Ryan had a drug problem and a short rehab stint for Roxycodone when they were together in 2012, making this an addiction at least 5 years in the making. Ryan’s wife and mother, Jennifer, were quick to criticize Dalis for giving an interview on the matter, as we reported here.

Last night, Ryan Edwards Instagram account showed some activity, specifically the following photo of Mackenzie and some unknown woman on a boat, the latter of whom appears to be drinking an alcoholic beverage.

Soon enough, Mackenzie’s friend posted a photo of this boat outing. Note the curiously placed emoticon that hides Ryan’s hand.

Finally, we got this very odd meme from Ryan’s account, which implicitly points toward Maci Bookout as being a “psycho baby mama.”

Fans have been surprised at this immediate post-rehab behavior, but I’ll leave speculation and opining to you lovely commenters.

This is going to go well, I can see

I have never heard of roxycodone. Is it like oxycodone, but for cool people?

I had honestly never heard of it either! I thought it was a typo when I first read the Radar report. From what I can find, Roxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone and acts faster/stronger than Oxycodone, which apparently has a longer half-life. I… am not an expert on this though. All I can think of is Mr. Mackey: “Drugs are bad, mmkay?”

My first thought was hoping his account was hacked. If this is how he acts straight out of rehab, his ass needs to be back there. I find Maci to be extremely hypocritical at times, but I actually agree with her on outing Ryan’s addiction. He will probably hate her for the rest of her life, but if she can save him it’s worth it. All she wants is for Bentley to have his father. She has every right to be concerned. That’s her child’s life in danger when he’s with Ryan alone. Hopefully Ryan pulls it together. Doesn’t seem like Mckenzie is helping the situation at all

Is HE posting those memes or is his new bride helping to stir up the drama? I really hate them both. If Maci was actually selfish, Bentley would have had his visitation cut years ago and she has every right now to subject him to drug tests to continue seeing his son.

I had hoped Mac would be good for Ryan but she’s just as bad as Jen. Maci is no saint but she kinda seems like one for all the crap she’s had to deal with from that family.

    • El-ahrairah says:

Mm, yeah, that’s a good point. I’ve noticed some of these Teen Mom girls posting for their S/Os before. I suppose even though it seems easy to call it Ryan’s post because it’s his account, it still could be someone else posting for him. Yeesh.

I am starting to dislike Mackenzie.

I think that girl is fake and is the female version of Jeremy.

  6. Leah's Meth Pipe says:

I think Maci has known for years. And hoped Rhine would get off the pills and they would be a happy family. When he didn’t, she moved on. And he got worse. When they did the Being Maci special I thought for sure they had a chance. I hope Rhine gets some help. He does seem to actually want to be a better dad. But he’s too lazy to do the work he needs too. And I guess he’s never pursued more visitation because of the addiction.

    Roxys are synthetic heroin
